Fabulous Eisenberg Brooch with Watermelon Crystals

This fabulous Eisenberg brooch is a swirling flourish of blue and watermelon Swarovski crystals. Watermelon crystals are cheerfully striped in green, blue, and fuchsia, creating brilliant complements to the light blue round and marquise stones. Delicate rhinestone-set waves (details characteristic of Eisenberg's glamorous designs) curl over the sparkling stones. Each crystal is prong-set in bright silver-tone metal. The piece fastens with a secure rollover clasp. Marked "Eisenberg" in block letters on its back. Circa 1950.

Eisenberg & Sons is an esteemed American jewelry company that makes high-quality costume jewelry. Jonas Eisenberg established the company in Chicago in 1914, offering high-end womenswear. But, it was the clothing's ornate buttons and brooches that seized public attention. In the 1930s, the company launched a line of jewelry that used dazzling Swarovski crystals in innovative designs called Eisenberg Ice.
