Impressive Rhinestone Collar by Vendome

This impressive rhinestone collar embodies the luxury and glamour of the Mid Century's finest jewels; fortunately, it is made of crystal and rhodium-plated metal so it doesn't require Richard Burton's deep pockets to own it. The V-shaped choker is wonderfully made; a row of graduated marquis-cut crystals is edged in small round stones, all prong-set in icy silver-tone metal. A pear-cut rhinestone, framed in small crystals, depends from the collar's "V." The piece is marked "Vendome" on the pendant's back. New Year's bride, that's all I am saying. Circa 1960.

Vendome, established in the 1940s, was a division of Coro Jewelry. Vendome reached prominence in the 1950s and was sold by upscale retailers that did not carry Coro, such as Saks Fifth Avenue.

Details.....This necklace is 15" long, it graduates from .41" to 1.15" wide, and the pendant measures .67" by 1". In Very Good Vintage Condition. You should always expect some wear on vintage and antique pieces; we consider it part of the charm.
