Scarlet Crystal Necklace & Earring Set by Eisenberg

A decadent necklace and earring set from Eisenberg, set with a scarlet spray of Swarovski crystals. These deep red crystals are some of the rarest and most collectible used in Eisenberg jewels. The choker-length, crystal-linked necklace suspends a decorative centerpiece: sparkling blood-red drops fall from a cluster of round stones. A rhinestone flourish, like Vampirella's crisp white collar, provides a bright contrast to the sanguine crystals. The clip-on earrings feature a fan of red crystals with matching "collars." Supple and well-made, each crystal is prong-set by hand in silver-tone metal. The necklace fastens with an unusual hook clasp and a white crystal-set extender chain. Marked "Eisenberg" on both necklace and earrings. Circa 1960.

Eisenberg & Sons is an esteemed American jewelry company that makes high-quality costume jewelry. Jonas Eisenberg established the company in Chicago in 1914, offering high-end womenswear. But, it was the clothing's ornate buttons and brooches that seized public attention. In the 1930s, the company launched a line of jewelry that used dazzling Swarovski crystals in innovative designs called Eisenberg Ice.

Details: The necklace is 13" long, 16" with an extender chain, and the center of the piece measures 3" by 2". The earrings are 1.05" by 1.11". In Very Good Vintage Condition. You should always expect some wear on vintage and antique jewels; we consider it part of their charm.
