A rectangular locket of rosy 9ct English gold with delightful Art Nouveau engraving. Both the front and back of the locket are half-engraved on the diagonal with a foliate pattern and whiplash flourishes. The locket's interior is clean with no glass or frames, perfect for a lock of hair. A jump ring bale suspends the locket from a modern 10k recycled gold rope chain. This locket bears the maker's mark "JG&S" and is hallmarked for Birmingham and the year 1905.
Details.....The locket measures 0.67" by 0.84". The chain is 18" long. The piece weighs 5.3 grams. In Very Good Antique Condition. You should always expect some wear on vintage and antique jewels; we consider it part of the charm.
