Antique Chester Diamond & 18ct Gold Band

Antique English bands made in Chester often have the most interesting geometric designs. This handsome 18ct gold ring is a great example. Three old mine-cut diamonds are set across the rectangular top of the band, each set in a slanted lozenge. The sides of the rectangle appear to be rolled up into tight scrolls. The shoulders are sculpted to resemble loops of gold ribbon. An unusual piece that would make a fabulous wedding ring. The band bears hallmarks for Chester, England, 18ct gold, and the years 1899-1900.

Details.....Currently a size 6.75. The top of the ring measures 18mm by 5.9mm, and the band is 2.3mm wide. In Very Good Antique Condition. You should always expect some wear on vintage and antique jewels; we consider it part of the charm.
