This Edwardian ruby and diamond halo ring is a real show-stopper. A .74ct oval ruby smoulders within a generous entourage of eight old European cut diamonds. The gems are prong-set in rich 18k gold; the prongs' tips glitter like a golden constellation, twinkling amidst the stones. A pretty scalloped gallery, curvaceous shoulders, and tapered band give the ring an airy elegance. Such a treasure. Circa 1900.

This ring comes with an insurance replacement cost appraisal. The appraisal is done by an independent gem lab. The appraised value is $6900.

Gem Details... The oval cushion faceted ruby is .74ct, with eye-clean clarity and Medium, Strong, slightly purplish Red (slpR 5/5) color. Eight old European cut diamonds have a 1.36tcw, with VS1-SI2 clarity and H-I-J color.

Details... Currently a size 5.75. The top of the ring measures 12.3mm by 14.4mm, and the band is 1.2mm wide. In Very Good Antique Condition. You should always expect some wear on vintage and antique jewels; we consider it part of the charm.
