Swanky Turquoise Doublet in Sterling Silver Ring

Clean lines and dramatic proportions balance to create a very swanky ring. An oval turquoise doublet of the most delicate blue shade is center-set, held in a sawtooth bezel. The stone is raised proudly between wide sterling silver fans; the fans form cathedral shoulders, they cant and taper into a flat band. This ring is a very large finger size. Circa 1970.

A doublet is a composite gemstone consisting of two pieces of the same or different gem materials, or one of gem material and a second of glass. The pieces are layered to improve the appearance of the gem.

Details.....Currently a size 14+. The top of the ring measures 29mm by 22.7mm, the band is 4.6mm wide. The ring has a 10mm profile. In Very Good Vintage Condition. You should always expect some wear on vintage and antique jewels, we consider it part of the charm.
