This is a very appealing 14k gold wedding band by J.R. Woods & Sons. The simple band is quite wide with a flat interior, a shallow half-round exterior, and soft edges. The ring's interior is marked "14k" and signed for Woods & Sons. It also bears the sweet personal inscription "J.A.R. to M.A.F." Circa 1900.
J. R. Wood & Sons was founded in 1850 in Trenton, New Jersey. The J. R. Wood & Sons' 1919 catalog describes the company as "diamond cutters, wedding ring makers, and manufacturers of fine gold and platinum jewelry."
Details: Currently a size 7.5. The band measures 8mm wide and weighs 6.7 grams. In Very Good Antique Condition. You should expect some wear on vintage and antique jewels; we consider it a part of their charm.
