This wonderful Chinese necklace dates to the end of the Qing Dynasty, China's longest and final imperial dynasty. The silver pendant is double sided, shaped as a flower basket using the repoussé technique which gives it a wonderful depth. A filigree flower supports the basket, and a drop of coral and green turquoise beads hang from the bottom of the basket. The pendant hangs on a two-strand necklace of coral, mother of pearl, and turquoise beads strung on pink silk. The Chinese turquoise is gorgeous, saturated in color shot through with black matrix. The piece is finished with a silver hook and extender chain. Like most antique Chinese jewels, this necklace is incredible with so much detail you will never tire of admiring it. Circa 1900.

Details.....The necklace is 21" long. The pendant measures 1.25" wide by 3.5" long including the beads and dangle. In Very Good Antique Condition. You should always expect some wear on antique and vintage jewelry, we consider it part of the charm.
