A sterling silver Coptic cross necklace. The cross is pierced and the front is engraved. The large bale makes it easy to hang this piece on anything you like, it comes on a long black satin cord. Circa 1970.
Coptic crosses are typically depicted with each arm divided into three points representing the Holy Trinity. The Coptic cross is widely used in the Coptic church and the Ethiopian and Eritrean churches.
