Hobé created a collection of silver brooches with floral motifs in the 1930s and 1940s. This sterling silver bouquet brooch is so charming. Crafted in three dimensions. A nosegay of leaves and flowers is accented with silver baby's breath and tied with a ribbon. Big, bright rhinestones in shades of electric blue, yellow, pink, and purple sparkle amongst the blooms. The substantial brooch fastens with a long rollover clasp, perfect for wear on coats, jackets, and other heavy fabrics. Marked "Design Pat'd" on the back. Circa 1940.

In 1887, master jeweler Jacques Hobé established his company in Paris. Hobé's son brought the company to the United States around 1927. Hobé created gold, silver, and platinum jewelry in many styles and designs. The family-run Hobé Company stopped producing jewelry in the early 1990s.

Details: The brooch measures 2.11" by 4.32". In Very Good Vintage Condition. You should always expect some wear on vintage and antique pieces; we consider it part of the charm.
