Hobé created a collection of silver brooches with floral motifs in the 1930s and 1940s. This sterling silver bow brooch is accented with delicately sculpted flowers. A silver "ribbon" is tied in an ebullient bow embellished with flowers, leaves, and sprigs of baby's breath. A pale green rhinestone sparkles at the center of the piece. The substantial brooch fastens with a long rollover clasp, perfect for wear on coats, jackets, and other heavy fabrics. Marked "Design Pat'd" on the back. Circa 1940.

In 1887, master jeweler Jacques Hobé established his company in Paris. Hobé's son brought the company to the United States around 1927. Hobé created gold, silver, and platinum jewelry in many styles and designs. The family-run Hobé Company stopped producing jewelry in the early 1990s.

Details: The brooch measures 3.11" by 2.52". In Very Good Vintage Condition. You should always expect some wear on vintage and antique pieces; we consider it part of the charm.
