Blushing Pink Shell & Heishi Bead Necklace

This double-strand of heishi beads is studded with conch shell tabs with the most delicate blushing pink color. The ivory-colored heishi beads are made of shell. The conch tabs are more or less square in shape. The piece is finished with sterling silver beads at the back of the neck. There is no clasp, the necklace is long enough to fit over the head. Circa 1970-80.

Heishi (meaning "shell") beads are small disc or tube-shaped beads made of shells or stones, traditionally cut, polished and drilled by hand. They originate with the Kewa Pueblo, previously known as the Pueblo of Santo Domingo, people of New Mexico.

Details.....The necklace is 32" long. In Very Good Vintage Condition. You should always expect some wear on your vintage and antique jewels, we consider it part of the charm.
