The Victorians loved their specimens. Popular jewels around the turn of the century included iridescent butterfly wings behind glass and the tiniest moths in lockets. This pendant is double sided and has an actual tiny moth on one side with little pink flowers, with and wisp of pink grass on a butterfly wing background on the other side. The locket is sterling silver and has a pretty engraved design around the edge. Circa 1890. The chain is sterling silver.
Details.....The pendant measures 1.03" across, and the chain is 24" long. In very good antique condition. You should always expect some wear on a vintage or antique jewel, we consider it part of the charm.
