Mary Slevens' Elgin Pocket Watch

This gold filled Elgin ladies' pocket watch is engraved front and back and personalized with the wonderful name "Mary M. Slevens." The hunter case is engraved with a fine foliate pattern, and the front bears the image of a homey house. The inner dust cover is engraved with Mary's full name. The watch winds, sets, and runs well. It will look stunning worn on one of our Ancient Influences married chains. Circa 1900.

The Elgin Watch Company was a major US watchmaker from 1864 to 1968. For nearly 100 years, the company's manufacturing complex in Elgin, Illinois, was the largest site in the world dedicated to watchmaking.
