French Cut Sapphire c. 1910 in Recycled Gold Band by 720

Gem Set Love is excited to present our new, limited edition collection of gem set bands. We have taken our luxurious recycled gold bands and set each with a unique stone selected from our lovingly curated hoard of antique gems. Each band is one of a kind, just like you.

A darling little French cut sapphire peaks out from a glossy 14k recycled gold band. French cut gems are squarish in shape, with a four pointed star illusion across the surface. They may originally date to the 1400s and gained popularity in the 17th Century, but their geometric shape was perfectly suited for Art Deco design and we typically see them dating to this era. This midnight blue sapphire dates to the Edwardian era, circa 1910. It is flush-set on point in the band, creating a wee spark of saturated color in the classic band.
