Vintage Snake Pendant

I am not a herpetologist, but I am fairly certain this wee little serpent is a diamond back rattlesnake. The tiny gold snake coils around a cabochon of jade in this moody and mysterious Edwardian pendant. The 14k yellow gold snake is beautifully sculpted, with delicate, distinctive scales and a sassy rattle tail. The color of the deep, dark green jade is complimented by its luxe gold bezel. This pendant is a conversion jewel, re-purposed from a vintage stick pin into a pendant with a jump ring added for versatility. It hangs on a modern 14k gold cable chain finished with a secure lobster clasp. A wee jewel with big energy. Circa 1900.

Details.....The chain is 16" long. The pendant measures 15mm by 14.6mm. In Very Good Antique Condition. You should always expect some wear on your vintage and antique jewels, we consider it part of their charm.
