Sweet and touching, when opened this lovely 15k yellow gold locket reveals a beautifully braided lock of blond hair and an inscription. AMW feb 19th 1861 obt 81. The front has a pretty cobalt blue enameled star set with a pearl. Pearls in memorial jewels often represent tears and innocence. 15k was a popular gold fineness in Victorian England. The locket is suspended from a modern 14k yellow gold chain.
