Aesthetic Movement Sterling Silver Flower Chain

This beautifully made sterling chain is a wonderful example of Victorian Aesthetic Movement fashion. The chain's oblong links are decorated with an applied flower and embellished with silver beading. Each ornate link is connected by a wide silver band. A watch hook and bolt ring fasten the piece, allowing it to be configured in several ways. You can easily display any pendant, locket or fob you like. The back of one link appears to bear a British Registered Design Mark, or “Kitemark,” but it is difficult to decipher. Circa 1860.

Details.....The chain is 20" long, the links measure .78" by .93", and the bolt is .68" in diameter. The piece weighs 52.1 grams. In Very Good Antique Condition. In vintage and antique pieces small imperfections are to be expected and considered part of their charm.
