An ancient Greek coin with modern 22k gold findings and a single blood red ruby. The tiny coin appears to be a Thrace Chersonesos Lion Hemidrachm, a silver coin minted primarily between 480 and 338 BC in the Thracian Chersonese region. The obverse, or "heads" of the coin, displays the forepart of a regardant lion, with a flowing mane and a fierce expression. The reverse displays a quadripartite square, stamped with a letter, a star, and a pellet. The ruby sits at the coin's base, bezel set in 22k gold. It hangs on a 22k bale and jump ring. It's a gorgeous little thing.

Details.....The pendant measures .47" by .68". In Very Good Antique Condition. You should always expect some wear on vintage and antique pieces; we consider it a part of their charm.
