Engraved Platinum Solitaire Ring with Antique Sapphire

A marvelously romantic engagement ring set with a gorgeous antique sapphire. The sapphire dates to circa 1800; the cut is lovely and unusual, and the light blue color has just a hint of lavender. The Regency era gemstone is set in a elegant Edwardian solitaire setting of engraved platinum. The eight-prong setting displays the sapphire to perfection. Circa 1900.
