Antique Carved Agate Book Pendant

This fascinating pendant is an agate carved into the shape of a little book, with a ribbed spine and recessed edges. The agate is banded in pale tones of white accented by a splash of rich gold color. It swivels in a frame of rosy gold-filled wire, finished with a spiraled jump ring. There is some minor wear to the agate where it swivels in its frame. This pendant hangs on a vintage gold-filled chain, but we think this beauty would also look intriguing worn on a narrow ribbon or one of our Ancient Influences married chains. Circa 1890.

Description.....The pendant measures 1.16" by 1.05" by 0.24". The vintage gold filled chain is 16" long. In Very Good Vintage Condition, with some wear where the agate swivels in its frame. You should always expect some wear on vintage and antique jewels we consider it a part pf their charm.
