Antique Pietra Dura Floral Cross Necklace

Cream colored roses, lilies and carnations alongside a garland of green leaves and colorful wildflowers, all depicted in intricate Pietra Dura, grace this beautiful antique cross. Pietra Dura means "hard stone," the design was created by inlaying tiny pieces of stone into the cross. The stones are just the right colors to emulate real flowers. The top of the cross is set in a sterling silver cap with bale, all adorned with Etruscan Revival details. This wonderful cross is a work of true craftsmanship. Circa 1880.

Details.....The cross measures 1.64" wide and 3.36" long with bale. The sterling silver chain is 22" long. In Very Good Antique condition. You should always expect some wear on your vintage and antique jewels, we consider it part of their charm.
