Antique Tibetan Ga-den Tangka Coin in 18k Pendant
This gorgeous antique Tibetan Ga-den Tangka coin is displayed in an elegant bezel of woven-looking 18k gold. The coin dates from 1880 to 1899, pre Chinese invasion. Both sides of the coin are embellished with beautiful lotus designs; the obverse presents a lotus surrounded by the Eight Auspicious symbols of Buddhism (ashtamangala) and the reverse bears a legend in Tibetan script that translates to "Ga-den Palace (the Dalai Lama's residence), victorious in all directions". The coin in its luxe gold frame hangs from a decorative bale stamped 18k. The modern cable chain is 14k recycled yellow gold with a secure lobster clasp.
Details.....The adjustable chain is 16" and 18" long. The framed coin measures 28.4mm in diameter, 41mm with bale. In Very Good Antique Condition. You should always expect some wear on vintage and antique pieces; we consider it part of the charm.
