This Art Nouveau brooch is all about the hairography. A lovely lady's face is depicted in profile, with wild whiplash tresses framing her head. The design is exquisite in its simplicity. Repoussé jewelry making techniques give this piece its lovely three-dimensional quality. The back is marked "Sterling 1278." Circa 1900.
Details.....The brooch measures 1.24" by 1.03. In Very Good Antique Condition. Some wear should be expected on all vintage and antique pieces, we consider it to be part of their charm.
