Brilliant Bear Pendant in Bold Stone & Shell Inlay

A brilliant Native American bear pendant in vibrant stone and shell inlay. The chubby bear is sterling silver set with bold, graphic triangles of turquoise, onyx and colorful shell, integrated cleverly into a quilt-like pattern. The pendant hangs by a large decorative bale from a vintage sterling silver snake chain. It is stamped "Sterling" and bears its maker's mark, "PL." This bear is a wonderful work of art, but we have not yet been able to attribute it to the artist who made him. Circa 1980.

The Bear is the guardian and master of the west. He represents strength, self-knowledge, healing, and protection.

Details.....The chain is 18.5" long and the pendant measures 2.55" by 2.08" with bale. In Very Good Vintage Condition. You should expect some wear on all vintage and antique jewels, we consider it part of their charm.
