A true treasure, this Georgian wedding bracelet is so delicate, so dainty, so exquisitely constructed it almost defies description. The 18k gold bracelet's central element is a bejeweled oval of intricate metal work, flanked by decorative hinged terminals. These elements also form the hidden clasp. The oval is pierced and engraved in a naturalistic design of tiny fruit, flowers and leaves, rendered in many colors of gold. An old mine cut diamond is collet-set at center and eight raspberry-red rubies ring the oval's edge. Sweet beading accents the incredible metal work. The terminals feature a matching motif and each is set with a ruby. The bracelet's band is a supple mesh of interlocking panels, so fluid it almost moves like fabric. Traditionally a bracelet like this one would have been worn as a pair, that's how Elizabeth Bennet would have worn them when she wed Mr. Darcy. Circa 1820.

Details.....The bracelet measures 6.5" long, the decorative element 1.50" by 0.8" when clasped and the band is 0.33" wide. The piece weighs 15 grams. In Very Good Antique Condition with wear consistent with its age. You should always expect some wear on your vintage and antique jewels, we consider it part of their charm.
