This baby navette ring was made using the luxurious Edwardian technique of layering platinum over 18ct yellow gold. The petite navette of scalloped platinum has an unexpected east/west orientation. The platinum is set with a cluster of little twinkling diamonds, with delicate engraved milgrain surrounding the stones. The platinum is layered over a gallery and shoulders of rich 18ct yellow gold. The pinched shoulders widen gracefully into a narrow band. This antique ring will make a lovely and very wearable engagement ring. Circa 1910.
