A work of art for your neck. This European Art Deco Necklace is comprised of black and mottled green Galalith and white metal. The construction and interesting shapes have the feel of a Bauhaus piece. Likely by Jakob Bengal or one of his contemporaries, these pieces were rarely signed. This piece predates 1939 when Galalith, was prohibited for use in the private sector because of WW2. This necklace was purchased along with several other pieces in an estate, all terrific examples of the European Deco movement.
Details...The necklace measures 18.5" long, the 3 row metal pieces measure 9.65mm, and the central piece measures 2.59" x .92". It is in Good Vintage condition showing some light wear.
