Stunning in its simple beauty, this 1940's solitaire holds a 3.70 carat natural blue zircon. A wonderful alternative to a diamond engagement ring, natural blue zircons have a high refractive index and maximum sparkle. The setting is 14k yellow gold and palladium, a popular metal combo during WW2 when platinum was reserved for the war effort. The way the stone is held in the nicely structured palladium head adds to its elegance with the simplicity of four corner prongs hugging the stone, the 14k yellow gold band has a nicely tapered knife edge. Circa 1940.
