Black Opals in Lush Arts & Crafts Botanical Ring

An incredible Arts & Crafts ring with three black opals nestled in a bed of wild roses. The gems have spellbinding color and fire, with intense greens, blues, reds, and yellows that flare and spark when viewed from different angles. The naturalistic botanicals are sculpted from softly bloomed 14k gold, cultivating a lush garden with impressive finger coverage. The opals are bezel-set vertically down the center of the ring. Delicate wire shoulders and gallery resemble an espaliered rose bush. Such a special example of Arts & Crafts design, it is signed with an (as yet) unidentified maker's mark. Circa 1910.

Details.....Currently a size 5.5. The top of the ring measures 17.6mm by 25mm, the band is 1.3mm wide. In Very Good Antique Condition. This ring is over 100 years old, some wear is to be expected and considered part of the charm.
