Blood Red Beads with AB Crystals Schiaparelli Set

Obsessed with Schiap. Multiple strands of blood-red beads fasten with an explosion of Aurora Borealis crystals. Matching earrings command the room. This wild necklace and earring set is from the inimitable couturier Elsa Schiaparelli, just thrilling as would expect. Clusters of red glass beads are framed in iridescent marquise crystals, soft lavender stones amplify the depth of the bright red beads. All three pieces are signed "Schiaparelli." Circa 1950.

Elsa Schiaparelli was a prominent Italian fashion designer. In 1927, she created the house of Schiaparelli in Paris, which she managed from the 1930s to the 1950s. She was celebrated for her surreal designs. Schiap, as she was often known, collaborated with Salvador Dalí and Jean Cocteau, and Coco Chanel was her greatest rival.

Details.....The necklace is 16" long, the clasp measures 1.82" by 1.47", and the beads are 5.8mm in diameter. The earrings measures 1.55" by 1.48. In Very Good Vintage Condition. You should always expect some wear on vintage and antique pieces; we consider it part of the charm.
