Buckle Engraved Silver Victorian Locket

Large silver lockets were very fashionable day wear for ladies in the Mid Victorian era. This engraved silver locket features the classic Victorian symbol of love: a buckled belt. One side of the generously sized locked is hand engraved with a buckled strap and the initials "AR~FW." The reverse is  engraved with the strap and foliate embellishments. The locket interior is in clean condition; there is no glass or frame. This locket comes on a vintage sterling silver rope chain, try wearing it on one of our Ancient Influences married chains or on a ribbon for a very pretty, historically accurate look. Circa 1880.

Details.....The locket measures 1.57" wide, 1.89" long and 0.48" deep. The chain is 24" long. In Very Good antique condition.You should always expect some wear on your vintage and antique jewels, we consider it part of their charm.
