Carnelian Intaglio Drop Earrings with Diamond Accents

Dramatic drop earrings set with carnelian gems and carved Roman soldier intaglios. Smoldering red carnelian set in oval frames of 14k gold. Etruscan Revival wirework is applied to the frames in a zig-zag pattern, studded with tiny diamonds. The gold and carnelian drops are suspended from carnelian rondel beads and gold-filled marquise-shaped earring tops. The French wire tops are set with small diamonds. The back of the carnelian drops are marked "RYPC 585" for RY Private Collections and 14k gold. Circa 1980.

Details.....The earrings are 2.5" long, and the carnelian drop measures .97" by 1.20". In Very Good Vintage Condition. You should expect some wear on vintage and antique jewels; we consider it a part of their charm.
