The fascination with Greek and Roman history and mythology has been a common thread in jewelry for hundreds of years. This pretty 1940's gold pendant holds an Antique Carnelian Intaglio of a seated horned man holding a pan flute and a smaller standing pan blowing a horn. The intaglio is nicely carved and is likely 19thc. Fair warning, this intaglio is a bit NSFW...the smaller satyr is in a state of, um, arousal. The 14k gold pendant is suspended from a new recycled 14k yellow gold cable chain.
Details.....The pendant is 1.55" long, and 1.17" at the widest point. The 14k yellow gold chain is adjustable and can be worn at 16" or 18". In Very Good Condition. You should always expect some wear on vintage and antique jewels.
