This Jazz Age bangle is one of the most gorgeous celluloid bracelets we have seen. The bracelet is a substantial half round ring, cast in faux tortoiseshell-colored celluloid. Feathery carving girds the bracelet. Bright green rhinestones border both edges and form intermittent lines that traverse the carving diagonally. Orange rhinestones are placed horizontally down its center. The heat-set stones give the piece the ol' Razzle Dazzle. The Art Deco glamour is palpable, you know this bangle has seen some wild nights down at the Speakeasy. Circa 1920.

Celluloid, invented in the 1860s, is the first synthetic plastic. It was used for many purposes and celluloid objects are now highly collectable.

Details.....The bracelet has a 2.85" diameter, it is .73" wide, and has an 8" inner circumference. In Very Good Vintage Condition. Some wear is to be expected in vintage and antique jewels, we consider it to be part of their charm.
