The Arts & Crafts movement started in England in the late 1880s and flourished in the early 20th Century. This graceful Charles Horner necklace is a fine example, with sophisticated design elements unique to the style. The sterling silver pendant is suspended from a swag of cable chain. Its curvaceous lines embrace iridescent peacock-colored enamel. Three enameled drops swing from the bottom of the necklace. The pendant hangs on a sterling silver cable chain. This piece is hallmarked for Chester, sterling silver, and the years 1912-13. It is also stamped with the maker's mark "C.H." for Charles Horner.

Charles Horner was an English jeweler, and in 1860 founded the Halifax jewelery business Charles Horner of Halifax. The company produced silver jewelry, thimbles, and other ornaments, particularly enameled sterling necklaces and the "Dorcas" thimble.

Details.....The chain is 16" long, and the pendant measures .97" by 2.20" In Excellent Antique Condition. You should always expect some wear on vintage and antique jewels; we consider it part of the charm.
