This chunky vintage African trade bead necklace is colorful and fun. The heavy tube-shaped millefiori glass beads in bright blue, red, white and yellow were made in Venice, Italy. The trade beads alternate with orange copal beads and brass washers. Copal is hardening tree resin that is almost amber. The beads are strung on heavy thread and the necklace is finished with an attractive brass hook and eye clasp. Such an interesting and gorgeous necklace.
Details.....This necklace is 22" long. The tube beads average 1.46" by 0.49" in size. In Very Good Vintage condition. You should always expect some wear on antique and vintage jewelry, we consider it part of the charm.
