Classic Diamond Solitaire with Sculpted Gold Flowers

A classic diamond solitaire engagement ring, elevated by crisp and lovely sculpted details. A delightful bright white and sparkling diamond is set in a fancy-pronged palladium head over a 14k yellow gold ring. The diamond weighs 0.46ct and has a nice VS1 clarity and very white E color. The shoulders of the ring are beveled, engraved and sculpted with pretty blossoms. A very low profile and a clean-lined, flat, tapered band make this ring as easy to wear as it is pretty. Yellow gold and palladium were a popular metal combination during World War II, when platinum was reserved for the war effort. Circa 1940.
