Coffee & Cream Georgian Agate Pendant

This gorgeous Georgian pendant features an oval slab of agate set in a sleek bezel of jewelers brass. The stone is dramatic, with deep rich banded browns and creams, and it is set to great advantage in the bezel. The edges of the agate are beveled, a wonderful, subtle detail. A modern gold filled chain has been added by our jeweler. Agate jewelry was very popular during the Georgian era. This necklace is a lovely example of the style, and its elegant simplicity provides an interesting example of how antique jewelry has influenced modern jewelry design. Circa 1800.

Details.....Pendant measures 1.32" by 1.10". The adjustable chain measures from 16" to 18" long. In Very Good Antique condition.
