Corinthian Column 10k Gold Signet Size 9.25

The elaborate shoulders of this 10k gold signet ring remind us of Corinthian columns. The bell-shaped shoulders are sculpted with curling acanthus leaves in a nod to ancient Greek and Roman architecture. The signet's oval face is blank, ready to be engraved with a monogram or other personal symbol. The inside of the ring's slim band is signed for Woods & Sons. Circa 1930.

J. R. Wood & Sons was founded in 1850 in Trenton, New Jersey. The J. R. Wood & Sons' 1919 catalog describes the company as "diamond cutters, wedding ring makers, and manufacturers of fine gold and platinum jewelry."

Details.....Currently a size 9.25. The ring's face measures 10mm by 13.5mm, the band is 1.7mm wide. In Very Good Antique Condition. Some wear is to be expected on vintage and antique jewels; we consider it to be part of their charm.
