Futuristic Danish Modern earrings from Jorgen Jensen. The industrial design is crafted in light weight pewter; thin tubes end in concave curves, each set with an art glass gem that resembles a hypnotic blue cats eye. The pewter dangles hang from screw back tops, a fascinating mechanical contraption that allows you to wear these earrings on unpierced ear lobes. Marked on the back "Denmark 220B Jorgen Jensen." Circa 1950.

Jorgen Jensen (1895 - 1966) was Georg Jensen's second son. He was a member of the the Georg Jensen silversmithy from 1917 to 1923. He ran his own Stockholm workshop until 1936, when he rejoined Georg Jensen and worked as a silversmith until 1962.

Details.....The earrings measure 0.93" wide and 1.72" long. In Very Good Vintage Condition. You should always expect some wear on vintage and antique jewels; we consider it part of their charm.
