Dazzling 1940s Natural Blue Zircon Ring

A dazzling 1.95ct natural blue zircon is the star of this incredible vintage ring. The zircon is prong set, allowing light to shine through it. A natural blue zircon has a very high refractive index of 1.93-1.98. The higher the refractive index of a gem the slower light passes through it, which causes the stone to sparkle like mad. The zircon sits above lovely graduated stepped shoulders. Three pretty diamonds are set on each shoulder. The body of the ring is cool, white 18k gold, very complimentary to the white diamonds and the icy blue of the zircon. Circa 1940.
