Decadent Pink & Purple Crystal Necklace by Miriam Haskell

A double strand of beads displays a brilliant burst of flora, such a decadent look from Miriam Haskell. Dusty pink and rich purple faceted beads are strung with tiny matching spacer beads. The focal element features layers of gold-tone filigreed leaves and flowers, spangled with pink and purple crystals; it's asymmetric and a little wild, just like nature is. The beads are finished with crystal-set floral terminals, and they fasten with a crystal-set hook and beaded extender chain. A small tag signed "Miriam Haskell" hangs from the clasp. Circa 1950.

Miriam Haskell is one of the best known and most collectible names in 20th Century costume jewelry. She was an incredibly successful business woman, producing elaborate and highly detailed handmade jewelry for all of the brightest Hollywood Stars from the 1920s through the 60s.
