Dramatic Turquoise in Sterling Silver Ring

A dramatic piece of turquoise set in this fabulous sterling silver ring. The oblong turquoise is bezel set on a flat, slightly asymmetric plaque. A shadowbox rings the bezel, edged by a wide border of slashed silver. The decorative top of the ring sits on a split-shouldered band. The stone is a rich, saturated blue color with a silvery matrix, suggesting this might be Morenci turquoise. The Morenci mine produces turquoise with a heavy iron pyrite matrix. Circa 1970.

Details..... Currently a size 7.75. The top of the ring measures 19.8mm by 29.7mm, the band measures 4.7mm wide. In Very Good Vintage Condition. You should expect all vintage and antique jewels to show some wear, we consider it part of their charm.
