Dreamy Art Nouveau revival band with, could it be? A mermaid motif? A scalloped shell is sculpted at the top of the wide 14k gold band; a tiny pearl nestles in the delicate shell. Two maidens, bare-breasted with flowing tresses, hold the shell aloft. The women's torsos curl around the band, their lower bodies melt away into the ring's shank. Tails are not explicit, but I think they are strongly implied. Made in the romantic 1960s, an era that adored the Art Nouveau style.
Details.....Currently a size 9. The top of the ring measures 12mm wide, and the band is 5.8mm wide. In Very Good Antique Condition. Some wear is to be expected on vintage and antique jewels; we consider it to be part of their charm.
