This Ethereal Beauty has 2 Old Mine Diamonds at the ends of tendrils bead set with rose cut diamonds, with a Natural Pearl between them. The fluid lines of this ring show an Art Nouveau influence, the Platinum topped Rose Gold dates this piece to circa 1900, it walks the fluid line between the 19th and 20th centuries and eras.
The pearl is natural and has a pale cream color and a lovely lustre. The larger diamonds are .21 pt and .25 pt they are SI2 clarity and E-F-G in color, well matched. There are a further 18 rose cut diamonds bead set into the ring they range in size from 1.3 to 1.8mm and are SI1 E-H in color. The body of the ring is 18k rose gold, the diamonds are all set in Platinum. This is a common use of Platinum in the early days of commercial use of this precious metal. Prior to the use of Platinum, Silver was the white metal of choice and it was usually backed with Gold to protect the wearer from the tarnish that naturally occurs with silver, Jewelers just continued this practice for a time. This style of ring would have been worn on the index finger.
