Effervescent Multi Strand Pearl Necklace with Gold & Diamond Clasp

This effervescent "Rice Krispies" pearl necklace makes a salty statement. More frothy strands of freshwater pearls than can be easily counted are gathered together by a gorgeous decorative clasp. Solid nacre nucleated pearls were the first freshwater pearls cultivated by the Chinese and introduced to jewelry markets in 1981. These highly iridescent pearls were dubbed “Rice Krispies” pearls because they looked like the cereal, elongated and full of little surface wrinkles. “Rice Krispies” pearl jewelry was often known for its wonderful decorative clasps.
