Elegant Opal and Pearl Slide Chain

This elegant and practical gold filled trace wire chain has a three faced slide set with Opals and Pearls, the slide has a pretty curving back and ends in a very handy watch hook. The color of the 140 year old gold filled slide and chain is a lovely antique yellow. Slide chains were originally designed to hold a small ladies watch. It may still be used for this, but they are very versatile and may be worn in many ways. This chain can be doubled for a shorter look and you can hang pendants, fobs, lockets, or whatever strikes your fancy from the hook. Circa 1880.

Details.....The chain measures 48" long, the slide measures .33" x .26" and the hook is 0.68" long. In Very Good antique condition. You should always expect some wear on your vintage and antique jewels, we consider it part of their charm.
