Deep royal blue enamel links look lovely to either side of the center link, which features a Viking ship. Silver gilded with gold highlights this lovely example of Norwegian jewelry of the mid 20th c. The back of this piece bears Aksel Holmsen's makers mark. Circa 1940.
Aksel Holmsen was a Norwegian artist who worked primarily in silver and enamel. He was apprenticed to the renown jeweler David Andersen.
